I wanted to make a quick note that I am officially on the job hunt, and looking for a union job (a member, a staffer, a writer, anything that can help build the movement). In the case of Hood River Distillers, it says 45 workers voted 12-0 against decertification. Does that mean that of the eligible unit only 12 cast votes? Or does the decertification vote work differently than an election vote (i.e., representative ballots or something?) Just curious, would appreciate any light you can shed. Keep up the great work!
It's kind of a clunky way to phrase it, but it means that of the 45 eligible voters, 12 voted, and they all voted against decertification. Works just the same as a representation election.
